2001 Officers Mission 

March 28-29 - Shanghai, China


Shanghai, China – Thursday, March 29: USGC Officers Mission participants meet with representatives from the Dongling Trading Corporation. Dongling is a joint venture among Cargill Inc., Mitsubishi Corp. and Orient International. It is the first joint venture trading company with import-export rights in China. Left to right are USGC Chairman Lisle Cook, Secretary Terry Wolf, Treasurer Don Jacoby, Director of International Operations/Asia Mike Callahan and Dongling Director Nor Coquillard of Cargill.


Shanghai, China – Thursday, March 29: USGC Chairman Lisle Cook with Mr. Liu Yong Xing, chairman of the board of East Hope Group. East Hope is part of the Hope Group, which is the second largest feed producer in China. Like other Chinese business leaders the USGC officers met with, Mr. Liu is eager for China to join the World Trade Organization so that his company can be a player in the global marketplace.
